BIKINIS & BBQ DOES TERRY BLACK’S

Terry Black’s BBQ Review: Is This Austin Classic Worth the Hype?

If you’ve spent more than five minutes Googling “best BBQ in Austin,” Terry Black’s will be hollerin’ at the top of your search results. So of course, we had to kick off *Bikinis & BBQ* with this South Austin staple.

Picture this: two gals in bikini tops, sweatin’ it out for ribs and brisket that could make a grown man cry. The smell of smoke hits you before you even step inside, and suddenly the Texas sun doesn’t feel so hot anymore—you’re just plain hungry.

What we ordered

  • Moist brisket (because lean is for salads)

  • Original sausage (insert jokes here 😉)

  • Pork ribs (Erika’s fave)

  • Potato salad + creamed corn + mac and cheese (Taryn’s obsession)

  • Peach cobbler + banana pudding (because dessert is non-negotiable)

The verdict

That brisket melted faster than our mascara on a July afternoon. Smoky, juicy, and perfectly fatty. The ribs had just the right tug, and don’t even get us started on the mac.

Rating

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 out of 5 — It’s messy, it’s worth it, but honey, don’t you dare wear white.
